Jay-Jay Johanson is the big international bet in the 2023 edition of the Aqui Acolá Festival. His first album ' Whyskey ', released in 1996, achieved immediate success, gaining recognition from critics and a wide audience. Songs like 'So tell The girls That I Am Back In Town' or ' It Hurts Me So ' conquered the 90s that had already surrendered to ' Tricky ´', ' MassiveAttack ' and ' Portised ', two years before.

Jay-Jay Johanson's music has strong jazz, electronic and cinematographic influences. In his compositions stand out the sobriety and 'warmth' of his voice, the good taste and criteria of the arrangements, and the almost timeless character of his compositions, which bring us reminiscences of 'Chet Baker' and ' Massive Attack ', simultaneously.

Throughout his 13 albums and other collaborations, some for the cinema, Jay-Jay Johanson has varied his musical palette along a well-structured axis, without ever leaving aside his roots, jazz. The more predominant 'trip-hop' and cinema 'noir' environment of the initial albums gave way to a more ' electroclash ' sound with ' Antenna ' from 2002 and ' Rush ' from 2005, to later return to the 'trip-hop' origins. hop', and sometimes even to the roots of his training, jazz.

The new single ' Labyrinth ', another excellent demonstration of this Swedish artist's mastery in mixing jazz with electronic outfits such as trip-hop or downtempo.
