Ponta do Sol marks the beginning of the artist's tour of Portugal, which will have as its motto the presentation of her new album, "hortelã", which is the seventh album by MARO and the first by the artist distributed by Sony. Contrary to its predecessor, 'can you see me?', this one is mostly written in Portuguese and also has a more intimate register.
MARO is a Portuguese singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. Studied at Berklee college of Music, in Boston (USA) and in 2018 alone, he released five albums and an EP, drawing the attention of influential musicians like Jacob Collier, with whom he came to work. She was the big winner of the song festival in Portugal, in 2022, with one of the themes that was most played on national radio and placed her as one of the icons of Portuguese music, “Saudade, saudade”.
